Node.js
Find out more on the effectiveness of Node.js and how it can help you with your future online application.
Node.js is a leading-edge, open-source, event-driven, asynchronous input/output platform intended for Internet sites that offer live interaction. Several instances of such websites would be online browser video game portals, web-based chat rooms or accommodation reservation portals. The platform handles the info exchanged between the website and its visitors in little bits, which improves the load speed and the performance of the site considerably. If a certain form with 3 boxes has to be filled out by a specific user, for example, usually all three boxes should be filled out and their entire content is then sent as one giant chunk of information to the server. With Node.js, the content of the first box is processed the moment it is inserted, before the user writes anything in the second box. Thus, a lot more information can be handled a lot faster and more effectively as opposed to any other platform, which can have a noticeable impact on the overall performance of the site. Node.js is already being used by many of the biggest IT firms like Microsoft and Yahoo.

Node.js in Cloud Hosting
When you host an Internet application on our cutting-edge cloud website hosting platform and you’d like to try Node.js, you will be able to add it to your web hosting account regardless of the
cloud hosting package that you use. This can be done from the Upgrades section in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will be able to take advantage of Node.js in no more than a few minutes after you add this service to the account. You will be able to choose how many instances you wish to add to the account – one instance means that one application will be using Node.js. In the new section that will appear in the Control Panel, you can write the path to the .js file in your hosting account and choose whether that file will be reachable via the physical server’s shared IP address or through a dedicated IP. Our platform will also specify a port for the connection. You will be able to disable or to reboot each instance separately, in case it is required.

Node.js in Semi-dedicated Hosting
All our
Linux semi-dedicated hosting packages include Node.js, so if you’d like to host any real-time application on our avant-garde cloud platform, you will be able to make full use of the power that Node.js can offer you with just a couple of clicks of the mouse in your Hepsia hosting Control Panel. The service is upgradeable, so in case you would like to use Node.js for multiple web sites, you’ll be able to select the number of available instances, one instance being one app. Using Hepsia’s simple-to-navigate GUI, you will need to enter the location of the .js file for every instance and to choose whether Node.js will use a dedicated IP or the physical server’s shared IP. Our platform will specify a randomly generated port to access your application and you will find it in the corresponding section of the Control Panel. The Hepsia Control Panel will also permit you to see the output of each of your apps or to cancel/restart each instance separately.

Node.js in Dedicated Hosting
Node.js is available with all
Linux dedicated servers hosting packages on which our custom Hepsia Control Panel is installed. The latter has a rather simple and easy-to-navigate graphical interface, so even if you’ve never used the Node.js platform before, you will be able to unleash its full potential in only a few simple steps. Once you’ve uploaded the app’s content, you’ll need to insert the directory path to the respective .js files that will use the Node.js platform and to select the IP address which they will use (dedicated or shared), while our system will specify a random port number that will be used to access the files in question. There’s no constraint as to the total number of Node.js instances that you can activate and use simultaneously and you’ll have complete control over them from the Hepsia Control Panel – you’ll be able to get new ones or to deactivate/reboot existing ones, to see the output log for each app, and many others.
